Changes
She was worried that something had happened. (There has been black and white cat that prowls the neighborhood that has had to be chased away from the nest once or twice.)
But when she got in and looked out the window, she saw two things. The Mallard was sitting oddly, with her wings spread a bit, and there was bits of egg on the tip of her beak. They were hatching!
This morning we got a glimpse of them. Out of twelve eggs, all but three have hatched, and the were dutifully toddling around after their mother. We weren't able to get a good shot of them this morning, didn't want to spook them after all. But we did get a shot of the nest out of the small office window while they were grabbing a morning constitutional around the neighborhood...

If we get a chance to grab any shots of them wandering around, I'll post them.
