Conservative forced sodomy watch

No, really, I think we need one.

Here is a post from Amanda, here is the link at the Nation that she points to.

Hmmmm....so, apparently forcing sodomy on your narcoleptic wife is in keeping with good Christian fellowship. I think Dr. Hager (Bush appointed him to be a member of an to the Advisory Committee for Reproductive Health Drugs in the FDA, and by the by, he opposes easy access to emergency contraception) is reading a different bible than I am. Well, than again, maybe not, that old testament religion does kinda sound like this...

Here is his ex-wife "I probably wouldn't have objected so much, or felt it was so abusive if he had just wanted normal [vaginal] sex all the time," she explained to me. "But it was the painful, invasive, totally nonconsensual nature of the [anal] sex that was so horrible."
(emphasis mine)

Coming soon to a neighborhood near you....bend over and except the Republican Glow Stick of Faith.

Update:
Bitch Ph.D tells us that Good Housekeeping has named him "among the best doctors for women in the nation." Lawyers, Guns and Money has a couple of posts about this, and posts a letter from HC to the Health and Human services about the Doc from Hell.

Bitch Ph.D. also has another post, in which she points out, she was not noting this just because he might be an abusive rapist, "than it was to put into context the conservative fight against birth control."

Me, I'm pointing it out for that reason, but for another one as well. Men like the good Doc are not christians. They reject the teachings of Jesus, embrace hate, reject and hate the principals of America, and it would be better to refer to them by the name they are given in the bible, Pharisees. Hypocrites.

These men are strangers to the concept of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

How do rapists and hypocrites who seem to worship the Accuser (the translation for the Hebrew word you know as Satan) get into positions of power? Perhaps the men who appointed them are evil as well, perhaps they hate America too? I think so.

Wolves in Sheeps clothing? That's how the bible put it, isn't it?

Updated Update: I sent an e-mail to Goodhousekeeping, and kindly they responded.

"Thank you for taking the time to write to us. W. David Hager, M.D. was mentioned as one of the Best Doctors for Women in a list we published in the August 1997 issue. The physicians on our list were nominated by 260 department chairs and section chiefs in obstetrics and gynocology at major medical centers across the country. We asked: "In your opinion, which specialists provide the most expert treatment and are the leading clinicians for diseases in women? To eliminate bias, the physicians were not allowed to recommend any specialists from their own institutions. From the 1500 doctors names, we culled the 401 cited most often. Dr. Hager's name was among the doctors most often mentioned by his peers.

Aside from his inclusion on the above mentioned list, Good Housekeeping has not featured Dr. Hager in the pages of the magazine."

Really, Really intersting. I wonder how many of the 260 were women. Oh well.
